Nearly Gone-meshi

jianghomeshi: All-day meetings @ Warner Bros. in Burbank. Sunny offices are built like a chalet. Dang Americans know how to play

I guess it won’t be long now.

The boy is riding Billy Bob’s gravy all the way to LaLaLand. Or maybe he just wants us to think that? Anything is possible in the Tweethole. But the clues are all laid out before us. We just need to read them.

One dirty tweet at a time.

jianghomeshi: Sitting in studio & throwing to Rush feature chat redux. Revelling in it. Geddy spoke to my junior-high doubt – conform or be cast out

Jian is excited about something. Not sure what it is, but it’s possibly inspiring! Or fascist.

Clearly, he’s a man caught in ticking traps. No amount of conformity will hold him now.

theperrytrain: I’m in LA proper. Melrose-ish. Big fan of Q. I even blogged about your Billy Bob interview. R U in TO or Van?

And they love him down there! Especially former MuchMusic VJs. They’re all abt the Q.

theperrytrain: We all good. I took ur num down and was gonna txt u Tues. Yes we can meet up fo sho. Maybe Aamer can meet us as well

He has a date already, fo sho! It’s going swimmingly, except for that cockblocker Aamer!

lightsnoise: Nooo, I need you here! I’ll send a dogsled to L.A. from Canada real quick (just set progress against CDN stereotypes back 3 yrs)

And his protégé? She can fend for herself. She’s getting a little clingy anyways.

jianghomeshi: At BBC London: All feels strangely familiar. Though incredible aura of history does impress. And desks are even more of a mess

But you see, he’s more than just a pretty, frustrated face. He’s a thoughtful intellectual. Of course, the CBC has a lot of history, too. It’s just not so interesting as British history, which is the real history.

ivortossell: Really enjoying Jane Farrow’s guest-hosting of Q on CBC. Mornings are listenable again!

As they say, Canada’s loss is America’s loss.
Good luck, Jian! See you in the funny papers.

“Unctuous” is the perfect description for Strombo, too.

After LA is through with him they’ll want Jian to change his name to John Homes.

I wish the cbc would stop ‘exporting’ our most embarrassing people. Yeah, the Irish are going to love George. One look at his pants and he will be lucky to escape with his life, way to go cbc.

“Exclusive” print version of interview with someone called Leonard Cohen in The Guardian (London, UK)
Special 3 hours on BBC radio for rock history the other week.

Yes, Ghomeshi is ‘special’ but still smarmy and unctuous. And ‘special’ can be taken in many guises.

And how is his mentorship with LIGHTS coming along.

All these MuchMusicTV people are playing MotherCorp for remote gigs. Now we have George in Dublin for an extended beer commercial for Guinness Irish Lords amusement.
