The Tea Makers supports the candidacy of Justin Beach

There used to be a show on TV called Fantasy Island that showed us how all our dreams and desires eventually will backfire on us. Even the mundane ones. What you think you want is the thing that will make you miserable.

factualOur support of the candidacy of Justin Beach might surprise some people. It’s true that Justin is an outspoken critic of this blog. It’s also true that he likes to point out that he has more visitors to his music site than we do to our CBC site. He also has more contributors, more Twitter followers and more Facebook friends. Also, his balls are considerably hairier than those of Fake Ouimet.
He has a Facebook group about it.

But Justin has it coming. In the CBC Lockout of 2005 he didn’t even have a job at the CBC so he locked himself out on his own accord and wrote a blog about it called Circles Around the Square.

payingThe CBC never fired anyone for denouncing the Tea Makers but keep in mind that President Lacroix is a supporter of the site. The President! But this might be a trick to suss out the bad apples in the ranks. He’s a basketball player.
Keep in mind then, that our greatest online detractor, Denis McGrath was hired by the CBC, shipped off to the remote coast, and got swine flu.
You think about that.

If Justin Beach wants to moderate comments on CBC.ca, send out the odd tweet, hell, even take over insidethecbc.com, we could do a lot worse. And who are we to begrudge him that? Even if he hates us.

howcomeBecause sometimes dreams do come true, right?
Cross your fingers!
