Really: He thinks the tiny number of Francophones without cable or satellite need to watch the Olympics, solely on TV, solely in French, and the only way to do that is to hand the programming over to Radio-Canada. Not just the National Governing Broadcaster, CBC is the National Olympics Broadcaster, KvF essentially states. But heck, aren’t the contracts already signed?
UPDATE (2009.05.15): The audience here maxes out at 12,000 Francophones. Can’t they go over to their grandkids’ house and watch the Games on ExpressVu?

Let CTV eat crow & do a private placement if they need to cover their financial asses !
(Blunt but they haven't been nice to us either)
Narf. Kind of makes me wonder if CTV are looking for a way to mitigate the disaster that is their Olympics overbid.
