Rachel Nixon has been appointed director of digital media for CBC News.
She’s a Webby winner!
But appears to have exhausted all possibilities at NowPublic.
Totally with it, there she is on Twitter.

    You have to know something about public broadcasting to be a manager at the CBC? All evidence suggests otherwise.

    I’ve heard that he was actually a sweet and wonderful human being, but he was marked by a terrible curse to the effect that if he looked away from his Blackberry screen for longer than 30 seconds a day everyone he knew would die.

    Recall her predecessor Jon Dube. Aptly described by Ouimet as

    “the robot CBC.ca manager sent from the future to exterminate mankind and trigger Armageddon”

    That guy knew SFA about Canada, let alone public broadcasting. Let alone how to socially interact with non-mammals.
