How do you make money from CanCon online?

You pretty much can’t, argues Jaron Lanier, unless you tie your content to a hardware device. (Excerpts from a submission to the CRTC that’s almost impossible to find.)

A lot of porn companies are turning a profit buy offering content online…. call it broadcasting if you like…. live and pre-recorded programming… ad support and premium services offered through subscription.

    CanCon?
The current situation and consensus around the world is that no one, absolutely no one, has found a viable business model for delivering online broadcasting.
The CBC submission made that very clear.

I wonder how much the internet operations are costing the CBC annually.
The panel appearing before the CRTC accounts for at least a half a million.
