Tiresome open-source fanboys can now listen to CBC via patent-unencumbered, free (“as in beer”) Ogg Vorbis instead of just turning the fucking radio on.

    It’s good to be reminded, though, that it still exists. Conditions and opinions can and do change, after all.

    I realize it is not “new.” But this is a linkfarm, not a newsfarm. It came up in my RSS, etc.

    This has been in place for a few years now. The fanboys were not appeased by it.

    Great! Now we have multi-platform services for one piece of work by CBC and their sub-contractors. And it will be a permanent, available format unlike the multitude of apple, win and such proprietary formats.
