Episode two: Twice as good as episode one. I was just delighted. I kept chuckling in recognition.
Jesus God, “Wondering Where the Lions Are†was a reggae song all along. These folk-rock songs from the ’70s… they still sound good on TV, kind of like the way classic rock sounds good on a car radio. Just reverberant enough, sort of warm and comforting. This is music so good you can’t make it sound better in 5.1 stereo.
I wish to make it perfectly clear just how fantastically impressed I am by this whole enterprise. I am even tolerating the K-Tel typography.
