What you do:

Radio-Canada Rimouski is seeking a Regional Lineup Editor. Reporting to the Senior manager French services – Eastern Quebec, you will distribute and coordinate on a daily basis the work of TV, radio and Web reporters and camera operators assigned to regional coverage, in keeping with corporate standards are policies.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent
  • Five (5) years’ journalism experience or the equivalent
  • Extensive general knowledge
  • In-depth knowledge of current events and regional realities
  • Fluent in French
  • Excellent knowledge of the other official language
  • In-depth knowledge of radio and television newsroom logistics
  • Very good knowledge of communication techniques specific to the medium
  • Knowledge of production techniques
  • Knowledge of the Corporation’s Journalistic Standards and Practices

Other:

  • Able to plan, organize and coordinate the day-to-day work of TV and radio journalists so as to meet tight deadlines; able to work well under pressure
  • Leadership and self-sufficiency skills an asset
  • Knowledge of production applications (Dalet, Media Browser, iNews) in use at CBC/Radio-Canada an asset
  • Valid driver’s licence

Candidates may be subject to skills testing.
