What you do:

As a Human Resources Generalist, your primary role will be to coach managers in the various issues they face. You will be the first point of contact for HR consulting services in a given business line. Among other duties, you will be involved in applying management programs and processes, such as staffing, industrial relations, performance management, compensation, and organizational development. You will provide proactive support and complete projects/initiatives with an eye to aligning HR management practices with specific client needs. You will also strive to continuously improve the HR team’s work processes.

Below are the challenges and expectations you will need to meet in the next 12 months:

  • Establish your credibility with clients.
  • Develop a good understanding of the issues of your client groups and the Corporation in general so that you can provide strategic advice.
  • Understand your contribution to implementing different HR projects.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or industrial relations, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience and specific achievements in a consulting role as an HR generalist. Experience in a unionized environment essential
  • Able to forge business relationships in which you are the key contact with clients
  • Good analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines (asset)
    Bilingual
