What You Do:

CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking a Copywriter. In this capacity, you will develop creative strategies, as well as design and create ads and promotional campaigns, in keeping with corporate standards and policies.

More specifically, you will direct the creative process, and coordinate and monitor advertising initiatives to ensure that the concept retains its synergy and consistency throughout the production process, for all media concerned. You will also examine and assess the final product.

If no guideline has been issued, you will decide on an appropriate communications thrust and creative strategy. You will present arguments to support the creative strategy, stressing the advantages of the advertising concept to clients and senior management.

If necessary, you will follow up with clients on projects and keep the team informed of developments.

Assigned to French Services Communications’ Business Communications unit.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications) or the equivalent;
  • Three (3) years’ relevant experience;
  • Fluency in French;
  • Very good knowledge of English;
  • Extensive general knowledge;
  • Very good knowledge of Radio-Canada programming;
  • Knowledge of advertising disciplines;
  • Able to write strategic ad copy;
  • Creative and able to develop and adapt concepts into execution;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to work well in a team.
