Project Analyst, Project Delivery, Shared Services – OTT00849

In collaboration with the other Analysts, provides a full range of knowledge/expertise on projects in support of system and process enhancements for Shared Services or the clients of Shared Services. These may relate to the CBC’s payroll, accounts payable, or other administrative systems..

Participates in varied projects through all phases of the project life cycle and ensures that proper project methodologies are followed with the goal of timely delivery of systems and services. Assists in ensuring department’s business objectives are met by providing vision, judgment and finding creative solutions to both technical and business problems.

You will participate in the in the planning, creation and development of various projects (systems enhancements, process improvements, new collective agreements, and software upgrades) through all phases of life cycle methodology with the goal of timely delivery of systems and services. You will provide management and clients with expertise and recommendations during the process of planning and acquiring systems or considering modifications to processes and analyze clients’ business processes and needs. You will also provide direction to IT counterparts and external providers to ensure proper designs and development of architecture, system prototype, environment and data base structures required to support or develop application systems and ensure the results obtained meet department and/ or business expectations.

Your Profile:

  • Requires an extensive and detailed knowledge of systems and project life cycle methodologies.
  • Requires knowledge of relevant software technologies and detailed knowledge of various business functions.
  • Requires coordination proficiency for diverse work groups and activities.
  • Requires understanding of HR, IT, Finance, and CBC Policies and Standards.
  • The functions require working in both official languages.
  • Ability to find creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral, in both official languages
  • Ability to handle of multiple priorities and responding to several urgent demands in a short space of time.
  • Ability to exercise judgement, solves problems and make quick but accurate decisions under pressure.
  • Must be able to work independently, taking initiatives and involves others in decision-making process.
