The Media Sales & Marketing department is looking for an ambitious and dedicated Brand Development Specialist, responsible for supporting the Brand Development team in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and brand guidelines, as well as providing sales with relevant programming information in order to support client and department revenue objectives.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Brand Development, your duties will include working with internal teams to gather supporting research, and programming information in the creation of client solutions. You will assist the Senior Manager in executing the pricing of integrated sales packages. You will also assist the Senior Manager with the creation of promotional concepts and project management of customer marketing promotions. You will act as a key point of contact for day-to-day operations with Revenue Optimization, Research, Break Management and Digital Sales in support of client solutions development. You will also attend key programming meetings with the Senior Manager and provide Sales with up-to-date information and resources on an ongoing basis. You will track programming performance within your assigned genre and provide insights to the Senior Manager.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma with an emphasis on business and/or marketing and sales, or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years relevant experience
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the broadcasting and advertising industry
  • Extensive knowledge of computer systems and software
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong negotiation skills are required when dealing with internal departments
  • Ability to interpret and manipulate statistical data into workable marketing and revenue augmentation strategies beneficial to the ongoing success of the corporation
  • Ability to work to a variety of deadlines from long to very short term, and to prioritize and balance several ongoing projects at any one time
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and initiative
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
