Honey, walk in there in a dominatrix outfit and a leash & George is all yours!

  • PoonGirl says:

Thank you. But I’m pretty sure George hates me and would never want to work with Poonie. Especially after all the stuff I’ve written about him.

I nominate Barb from ‘The Stroumboulopouli’.

Let the punishment fit the crime.

  • Anonymous says:

The Executive Producer also has to deal with George’s on set temper tantrums…..

  • PoonGirl says:

Thank you Kit Kat. I don’t think I could get the job although I wonder why someone needs 8 yrs experience to “fellate mostly has- been celebritites” (from Anon poster in another thread).

    • GPL says:

PoonGirl you might be the only person who could do the job. And if you wanted, you know that we could give it to you. We just have to make a campaign of it and at the very least they’ll have to give you an interview, at which point you can win them over in person.

All you have to do is say that you want the job, and we can give it to you. Allan I’m sure would help you get this job. After all, it’s not about what you know, but who you know, and you know a lot of Tea Makers who command a lot of attention of ppl at CBC who themselves can start getting used to the idea of PoonGirl as an EP.

Not to mention that professional experience is just a fancy way to exclude people. The issue is as described by other commentators one of vision, leadership, and handling of the man. No reason you can’t provide all three.

The Exec. Producer must have ALL the vision, creativity and drive for the seventh season because George would rather be hosting a game show.

  • Anonymous says:

Is THIS why George couldn’t divulge any details on the upcoming season of The Hour? Because they are still looking for “the person who has the vision, creativity and drive to take/help lead this team into a successful seventh season”?

  • Anonymous says:

They left out one thing under “What You Do” :

“Get sexually harassed by the host on a daily basis.”

  • Kit Kat says:

Guess that’s George’s style, to string women along & keep the upper hand (even if they’re trying to save him).

What happened to Jennifer Dettman? Did she get Stromboned? She did compare being the executive producer of The Hour to dating :

    http://www.strategyonline.ca/articles/magazine/20091001/boystrombo.html

“I always say to him that it felt like I was dating again,” says Jennifer Dettman, executive producer of CBC’s The Hour, “I would phone and every day I would come in and say, ‘Did he call me?'” He, of course, is George Stroumboulopoulos, the man around whom the late night talk show was built and the person that Dettman tenaciously pursued, knowing that he could not only carry his own show, but expand an already loyal following. Dettman had seen him as a VJ on MuchMusic, but it was an interview he did with Peter Mansbridge that proved to her he could talk more
than music, and do it well.

  • Kit Kat says:

I bet Poongirl could spice it up!

  • Allan says:

    That job seems really boring.

“Paging Mr. Allan….. paging Mr. Allan….
Mr. Allan please report to http://cbc.radio-canada.ca/jobs/ immediately…”
