7086bb6c1ff2b354Julie Bristow, Executive Director, Factual Entertainment at CBC Television congratulates George on his Gemini win.

Julie’s been with the CBC a long time, so if we were going to learn about broadcasting and public affairs from anyone, she’d be our first choice.

Who’s the female programming executive who became single/unmarried this past year?

For the love of God lay off George! There are way more important issues at hand and many, many, more CBC types who need a good dressing down!

That quote top right of the main page about George being our Bill Maher or Jon Stewart is asinine. Those two are funny (Stewart moreso than Maher) and entertaining. George hosts a show on television at night, and that’s where the similarities end.

A different Julie is the publicist.

Not quite sure what this post is implying, but I’d be happy too if my show won a Gemini.

Just found out Julie is his publicist, from a friend who has spoken with her. Guess that explains why she is there with him. Don’t you feel dumb Allan ?

Julie is not his publicist. She’s the Executive Director of Factual Entertainment for the CBC. Julie oversees the development, production and commissioning of talk shows, game shows, lifestyle and reality programming, as well as the acquisition and adaptation of international formats for CBC.
