A two-hour-long news talk show is coming this fall to Newsworld

Mark Kelley headshot“Mark [Kelley]’s ability to engage easily with the audience makes him a natural fit for a news talk show,” says Cynthia Kinch, director, CBC Newsworld.

Great.

But what we want to know is will the audience get to do any of the talking?

Just for the record, I see Mark Kelley in the Beach and on the eetcarstray now and then. Hes compact, built like a brick shithouse for a dad his age, hirsute, and formidable. This might just work.

And we like him for his mind too!

    Between 7 and 9 pm.
    Nice time slot.

    So The Hour is moving?
    Hopefully, right off the screen.

Two hour news talk shows. 90-minute local newscasts. Hundreds of layoffs. What’s wrong with the math here?
