    that’s helpful to know.
    So the CBC is entirely devoid of providing financial support to the arts?
    Except through expense accounts?
    Just checking.

    From the CBC website that you link to…

    “What are the prizes?
    First Prize: $ 6,000
    Second Prize: $ 4,000
    (in each category, for each language, courtesy of the Canada Council for the Arts)”

    It looks like the Canada Council is actually supplying the prize money. So your point would be?
