Following Ivan Fecan’s message and Town Hall last week, layoffs are taking place today affecting approximately 105 positions. Virtually all of these positions are in Toronto. The various collective agreements that cover some of the affected positions allow for bumping; this will take place next week. The decisions were made by the managers of the affected business units. No further reductions will be taken for the balance of this year.

No further layoffs “for the balance of this year.” With four weeks left in 2008, that’s cold comfort at CTV.

OK, what building is this penthouse office in? 299? 9 Channel 9?

They don’t have to answer for anything…not even the fact that Ivan Fecan has a 38,000 plasma tv in his newly renovated penthouse office (with newly built glass balcony and private elevator access). He will most likely receive a bonus at the cost of all the employee’s he’s laid off since their purchase of CHUM property.

If he walks the next MMVA red carpet he’ll most likely get tomatoes thrown at his white melon instead of people waving back at him wonder who the hell this old man show boat is.

Merry Christmas and happyholidays to you and yours Ivan

I don’t think they’re going to answer that one. Ever.

hmmm…I wonder if they have any regrets about spending $3,000,000 on that shopworn hockey song.
