Guest blogger: Will History Be Erased? Again?

What’s going to happen to insidecbc.com?
The domain name is owned by Tod Maffin, so the question is, can he afford to keep paying the rent?
AND his 3 yr. iPhone contract?

There’s likely no contingency plan, such as keeping several copies of the blog in safety deposit boxes scattered across various parts of the world.
In only a few days the entire history of gripes may go poof! like an icon being dragged out of the Apple toolbar.
Tod doesn’t care any more, and Kevin Payan certainly can’t be bothered.
But it was such an interesting “experiment”.

It’s a history that really should be preserved, as a reminder to future generations that for as long as the CBC has been around, nothing has ever really changed.

    who will Allan stalk now?

    sad. and boring. Boo.

one more Allan post and I’m never reading this blog again.

Allan did not mention ’œbank accounts.’ Allan suggested that, apart from the stated reasons for resigning from that blog, Maffin might have too many toys to play with to bother with an old one like Inside the CBC. That would be my reading, and it hardly constitutes a ’œpersonal attack.’

I find it regrettable that this blog post/subject (yet again!) involves personal attacks. What exactly is the point of talking about bank accounts etc? Are you insinuating something?

And as for him not _caring_, that’s just so far off base it’s laughable.

Tod is a personal friend and someone I respect professionally. While I understand the reasons for his decision, and support him in it, I’m sorry to see his work go on hiatus. I’m even more sorry to see this silliness continue even now. How callous. Unsurprising, given the source, but just ridiculous nonetheless.

One thing I am glad about, though, is not having to have to put up with reading the total crap being written about him.

If you can’t make an intelligent argument against someone without descending into personal attacks, your argument doesn’t hold much water in my book. You don’t have to attack the person just because you don’t agree with what they say or do.

Time to grow up, boy(s). Seriously.

I think insidetehCBC is busted, it only shows 2 posts per page.

I just took a look, and it seems that only two of my posts have survived.

No need to worry. A lot of the website has been saved on the great big Internet archive in the sky.
