They offered me the office, offered me the shop. They said I'd better take anything they'd got. Do you wanna make tea at the CBC? Do you wanna be, do you really wanna be a cop?
Please, please tell me why fine, smart (and young, by cbc standards) hosts like Patty Schmidt get pushed further and further into the sideslines, while dummies and “cool dudes” like Ghomeshi and Strombo take over?
Who is making these decisions, and why is anyone listening to them?
I know! Lets put on a show! We have this old barn, our MotherCorp’s old costumes, Dad’s former orchestra. We could do a song-and-dance and retirees from all around could come and sing old rock tunes and war song to a chamber orchesta. The audience would surpass the old [One Strange Letter ] show. We could call it ABC from CBC. Yeah!
[ I presume, from reading the bring-out-your-dead job posting, that it will be a simuulcast of the much disliked smarmy Jian in the radio studio mugging for the camera now on the ex-Country Canada digital cable ghetto. Even more minutes of confused silence as he fails to ‘show’ the few dozen radio listeners what is happening to his astonished guests in the studio kingdom as he plays for the camera. ]
Lets get some Talent on air at the CBC, first by banning Evan Solomon, Jian Ghomeshi, Ralph Benmurgi (who he?) and George Stroumboulopoulous. Then get strong talent, who have real musical skills (ex CBC orchestra who do play rock and classical, or visual artists (Where is William Ronald of today) to host for a few years as we try similar guest hosts to bring enlightenment to the masses in the executive suites of the TBC in Toronto. They need it more than anyone.

It’s actually Producer position for Q on Bold.
The best CBC radio host ever? Art Levine. And “This is Art” was the best music show ever on the service.

Questions:
1) Didn’t this show just start?
2) Doesn’t this show really need a new host, rather than a new producer?
3) How much could a new producer hope to improve or change this show, given the limitations of the host?
three strikes…
Sorry Allen but your reputation already made here is worth nothing but waisted cyber-ink.
Please do not apply for the above position.
It does?
