    from Seattle.
Watching the excellent Olympics coverage by the CBC, I’ve now twice greatly enjoyed the Saturday Arts hour apparently presented by BOLD. I intercepted this blog trying to find out more about this rich production.

Gee whiz, it turns out not to be “a low license fee ghetto” but a NO license fee ghetto. Pathetic.

Regarding Stursberg’s creative (bold tv) genius – He doesn’t seem to have any actual experience in writing directing or producing but seems to excel in the government world of make believe.

In the 1980s, Mr. Stursberg worked in the Government of Canada’s Department of Communications where he was Assistant Deputy Minister, Culture and Broadcasting, and Assistant Deputy Minister, Telecommunications, Research and Technology.

Then he climbed the greasy pole of another inexperianced politico and eventually became head of telefilm.

Only short bald insecure ignorant people (like Stursberg) who have zero experience may apply.

I guess this will enable the English network to better focus on the timid programming of unadventurous shows.

Country Canada had no subscribers – they had to rebrand it. Audacious comedy my ass. Canadians will never subscribe to a CBC specialty channel – Bold TV, even the name sucks. Who came up with the name Bold TV? Stursberg? Is there anyone left at the CBC who has a little imagination?
