That’s Paul Bates – get to know him – he’s one of the funniest and most intelligent young actor/writers in Canada. A former Second City mainstager and a pleasure to work with.

(Without a doubt he deserves as much airtime as they’ll dole out to him)

Another interpretation that occurred to me: the whole mess now in progress with the Canadian Wheat Board. Seems like the farmers in Saskatchewan and Manitoba are…displeased, let’s say…with the federal Plan to Ensure a Lack of Future for the CWB. Might explain the gesture inset photos.

I take it the writer for The Hour is not referring to regional increases in prostrate examinations …

It looks like “the new guy” from The Hour.

I like him; he speaks slowly and clearly, but with enthusiasm. (A good balance for George.)

Some kind of political history lesson gone awry, perhaps? I remember something in Canadian Geographic about how Laurier torpedoed a campaign to organize one Ontario-sized province where Alberta and Saskatchewan now stand…

Good heavens — where did that come from?
