Actually, it’s not the union that can solve this, it’s CBC Management. Need I remind everyone that all we were asking for is what we already have. It’s the CBC who is asking for concessions. If CBC management had been doing its job lobbying for funding (which it has not), we wouldn’t be in this mess. They’ve had a perfect opportunity, with a minority Liberal government and they had their heads up their asses. It’s the same old crap. Managers make bad decisions. Workers pay for it. Rabinovitch’s record stands for itself. Destroying regional tv news, then saying woops. Orchestrating 5 labour disputes (3 of them lockouts) over six years. All the while being accountable to no one. CBC negotiattors can solve this by removing the ridiculous concessions.

I like it! But really, I’m not angry all the time, believe me.

If I were you I would ask your rommate’s union reps to negotiate in good faith and keep talking round the clock. They are the guys who can solve this.

I JUST POSTED THIS ON CBCUNPLUGGED BUT MAYBE MORE OF YEE ON THE INSIDE ARE READING THIS ONE.

CBC is all of a sudden in a hurry TO GET THIS DONE. What’s the matter Paul Martin starting to bite at their collective arse. Martin has said he won’t cross a picket line. Translation… don’t embarrass me. Get it over before the swearing in of the GG and the opening of parliament. It takes time to get it right and not end up with a contract full of weasel words….like may and shall. Hopfully when it’s over Martin will ask bobby dickie and little jane to do the honourable thing and fall on their swords. To put it in the words of the late Jim Gash from Corner Brook.(only fight the battles you need to win.) This is one of them after five weeks another couple won’t seem so bad. The corporation has bitten off more than expected. Figured we’d fold long before this. This lockout means this Guild is now a full fledged union. Now’s not the time to back down. Their legs are getting weak. I can smell victory.

Not that I’d ever tell a manager what to do (yah, right ;). But is this getting printed and posted by the elevators? Those boards must be pretty blank by now.

I’d suggest 3,4,5, and 7. But the inmates would better know the current traffic patterns.

I am not sure what you are asking. Please clarify for me. I thought we were screaming as loud as we could. You know, picket signs, no pay for 5 weeks. If you are asking us to backstab the negotiations team then forget it. But if you have something positive in mind, tell me.

12 Hours and still no comment?!

Those locked out yell for management action but when someone, or something from comes forth there is an eerie silence.

Quimet I am not locked out but I live with someone who is. What can we do to “make some noise” as you say.
