More than a year after taking over, there's been no substantive to the radio division, at all.
Very much the same everything as the day she started, with no direction to anything.
She seems focused on making records, compilations really.
But then everyone was well aware that she knows absolutely nothing about radio programming, and confirmed it recently with the Strombo and Mankowits travesties.She's afraid to do anything that would risk drawing attention to her incompetence.

Shania Twain hosting The Current & afternoon shows promoting Leo Cohen concerts, that's what's changed. Although more suited to the privates (who have more experience at this), these ideas are not bad, but in both cases the execution failed miserably.

I seems like the CBC are afraid to take chances on new people and because of this they are missing out on some of the best naturally-talented Canadians out there. For some reason, they want to stick to these guys/gals who worked Muchmusic or that dumb 'chatroom' show. Don't they realize that hosting skills 'can' be taught, but natural talent and charm are both things that you are born with. These things 'can't' be taught. Hey CBC, stick with finding people who are naturally-talented and naturally-charming and teach them how to host. That's what it was like in the old days. Remember when radio hosts were always great speakers and great readers with amazing voices. The CBC would hire these people and train them in the broadcasting field. Now, they simply hire no-talent hacks who have the same charming personality as a cactus, all because they have some experience in mediocre (at best) shows. Hey CBC, get some common sense.
