That Kayvon guy was a douche, but it looks like his YouTube account was suspended?
was it just for idiocy or did he go too far?

Something has obviously gone wrong, to lose such a large presence in one fell swoop.
Think it was about 200 videos.
But a lot were posted in a different format so they can still be seen at
I've written asking what's up but don't expect an answer.
There's also way too many Twitter accounts to chase after ... last post in January
Here's our shout out to Kayvon TV:
If you are watching this then you are totally lost!
what an annoying little prick.
Here's a press release from today!
"AUX delivers popular guerrilla reporters Kayvon and Nardwuar for winter programming launch
TORONTO, Feb. 24 /CNW/ - AUX delivers the best in guerrilla-style music reporting with Kayvon "The Superfan" Zahedi and Nardwuar the Human Serviette debuting as part of the channel's winter programming roster, which launches March 1. Four new series join returning AUX favourites to round out a robust lineup entirely devoted to music and music culture. AUX is available on Rogers Cable channel 107 and at http://www.aux.tv.
Internet cult hit KayvonTV makes its world TV premiere on AUX. It features fast-talking superfan Kayvon Zahedi on the verge of spontaneous combustion as he interviews his music idols. Adding to the fun is legendary indie-rock journalist Nardwuar. He keeps things quirky as a special correspondent for music news roundup AUX Weekly. The two popular reporters complement AUX's roster of on-air music authorities including Alan Cross, Moe Berg, and George Pettit of Alexisonfire.

The attached addendum lists AUX program descriptions.

What basically happened with Youtube is the account was getting really popular following our very successful fall season of content, which was blogged about heavily by several music and sports, Youtube offered KayvonTV a partnership.
We agreed to it, and filled out all the required information, etc.
A couple days later Youtube suspended the account, without so much as a letter to explain why.
We have sent multiple e-mails to Youtube, trying to figure out why, after 3 years and over 225 videos, did they decide to suspend the KayvonTV account.
Youtube has not given us back a single response.
It seems that Youtube is too big a corporation to feel the need to explain to content creators why they would completely wipe away there past work, espcially content creators who have (for over 3 years) provided Youtube with a fresh, original brand without any revenue share.
The irony is Youtube helped push KayvonTV into bigger and better things (i.e. Television) but now that it is on television, it is no longer availible on Youtube.
I am still trying to figure out what happened to make Youtube suspend the account, however I no longer feel that Youtube will provide the answer, and KayvonTV is now boycotting Youtube until we at least get a proper answer from them.
Sorry about the confusion,
John Bortolotti
Producer/Director
KayvonTV
It's ironic...
KayvonTV becomes one of the first popular Youtube shows to make the jump from online to real TV - and on the eve of it's premiere.. it's YouTube account gets suspended.. and nobody knows why?
You should contact Google Canada. They tend to be quite responsive, and can help you get to the bottom of this. The last thing they want is bad press, so put a bit of pressure on them, while being friendly/professional, and they'll help you out.
I have to hand it to Kayvon - he pursued stardom aggressively, and made the most out of what little talent he had. I don't think his YouTube was popular, but he acted like it was popular, so someone bit and put him on TV.
If his YT was really so popular, there would have been at least a *small* outcry. But no one is talking about this besides the Teamakers.
This is outrageous, if true. And also scary. 225 videos, gone in a puff of smoke? With no explanation???
I feel for you Keyvon.
I for one find KayvonTV to be brillaint! I think that it takes someone who is a) high and b) high to really appriciate the brillaince of KayvonTV.
Its the funniest dammm thing I'v seen out of Canada since Trailer Park Boys.
And to the person who claims KayvonTV is not a cult-hit show, I'd suggest you check out the wikipedia and the linking articles to see that KayvonTV has created a buzz all over the world, and even got a mention in an issue of Sports Illistrated.
I also can not believe they deleted his entire account! 225 videos, thousands of subscribers and millions of views gone in a flash......damm Google!
c'mon it is soooo obvious by his first episode that Kayvon is loved by the community, look how the people started chanting his name outside the hotel!
He was probably caught using an auto page refresher to increase his # of views....
Sounds like a publicity stunt.
Is this worth people's time to watch?

YouTube suspends accounts reasons.
Mr. Bortolotti, I don't think people are being totally honest with you. I suspect someone was inflating page views.
Very, very weird.
After no blog activity at Kayvon since last summer, yesterday an entry is posted, as below.
But all it is is a headline, there's no content beyond that.
The shows producer, when asked, is saying that Kayvon's videos for the past three years were SUDDENLY PULLED WITHOUT WARNING.
He further states that ENQUIRIES TO YOUTUBE HAVE GONE UNANSWERED.
Also that he is now boycotting YouTube - probably a good idea since you can't rely on YouTube to play fair, apparently.
I wrote to Glassbox, and received a reply from
Quincy Raby, Marketing & Communications Director, GlassBOX
who said
"We're checking into it now with the producer Allan. Hang on ..."
and though I have not heard back from him, we did get the reply from John above.
For YouTube to behave like that is very odd, and I've written them asking about it.
It's just more "guerrilla marketing". He's using every trick in the book to try to get noticed.

This story is starting to spread!
I'm really hoping that youtube gives Kayvon his account back, I will really miss his videos if not....
you will? you'll miss them?
then have you noticed that virtually all the videos are on his site in a different format?
you won't have to miss them at all if you are such a big fan.
All of Kayvon's video bits amount to - SO WHAT.
There's nothing there but a group of three people who have the time to go celebrity hunting during the day.
You could easily get exactly the same if not better content yourself.
To see him going on AUX is not surprising. All broadcasters are desperate for content, and considering how long he and his group have been doing it for nothing they probably gave their bits to AUX at a very special price!
It's such a coincidence that this happens "on the eve of Kayvon’s television debut"!
Now I'm gonna go catch up with that turnip truck that just I fell off of.....
Here's an initial response from Google:
Videodave2 has posted an answer to the question "a YouTube user had their account suspended after 3 years and claims that YouTube won't tell them why. How is that possib":
> but it seems impossible to find out who to ask about the suspension.
Yes, only the account owner is entitled to request that information
>The Kayvon account holder would also presumably like to know.
They need to check the link below to access that information.

Hey Kayvon, it's been more than 4 hours.
What did YouTube say????
I've written to the production company again, asking for further news.
I would pose the question directly to Kayvon but he has not posted a contact address.
If anyone runs into him in person, please ask him.
I'll be watching the show tonight!! can't wait to see what the fuss is all about!
