Maybe Kirstine is waiting for The Hour ( or 55 minutes now) to grow. I mean it's ONLY the 6th season. That's not too bad ! Once you get to know George and see his charactr growth you'll tune in again and again just imagine his growth potential. Hahaha, I would make a great Kirstine, all you have to do is lie. In reality, George needs to be questioned for his actions, he is not doing a good job and he doesn't see to care !

"Over on CBC, The One's two-hour debut pulled in an average of only 286,000 viewers. The public broadcaster put a positive spin on the ratings. "It was a number that is higher, a lot higher than our usual summer average, so that's a benefit," executive director of network programming Kirstine Layfield said. "Traditionally, these kind of shows have that kind of growth potential. ... As the people get into the characters, the people, the training and [the competitors] get better, [the audience] should just grow in the States as well as here." But the reaction of those viewers and critics who did tune in was not positive. The Hollywood Reporter was scathing in its criticism of the show. From a review of "The One: Making a Music Star" : "There was the host. George Stroumboulopoulos was no Ryan Seacrest. In fact, he was as lackluster as can be. He actually sucked what little energy there was in the program, dry. How he got that job was the second biggest mystery of the show."

Don't be afraid of George. Ask him anything you like. He won't dare beat you up, especially if you're a member of the audience. He needs every one he can get. GEORGE: Any questions? AUDIENCE MEMBER: Yes, George, I was wondering what your response is to The Tea Makers blog where they claim that almost anyone could do your job, and that The Hour's ratings are so low that they don't justify it being on the air? (in fact, any question with the words Tea Makers in it will do) 2nd AUDIENCE MEMBER: George, does it hurt your feelings when people criticize you like they do at ... Tea Makers? 3rd AUDIENCE MEMBER: George, is there any girl anywhere tonight who can legitimately claim that you're "her boyfriend"? 4th AUDIENCE MEMBER: George, your ratings have been the same ever since you started.
