We’re getting accustomed to lies.
Our own public broadcaster not only condones it but also encourages it as a necessary step on the path to success in today’s media-rich world.
Jian Ghomeshi and Tod Maffin are the shining examples of how far people who work at the CBC will go to deceive the public.
Jian lies about writing a blog, lies about writing for The Guardian, and lies about the understanding he had with Billy Bob Thornton.
Tod Maffin lies about pretty much everything, including that he’s still employed by the CBC.

A fake news show currently airing on CBC Radio, called “This Is That”, has actually fooled people into believing that their reports are the real thing. Says Pat Kelly, one of the actors, “… unless you’re really paying attention to the content itself, you’ll probably just assume that what you’re hearing is all true.”

Today, July 21st, is a little late to be pulling an April Fool’s joke.
But in a news story published by Canoe News, it becomes increasingly apparent that it’s impossible to tell what’s reality and what isn’t when we read about the CBC.

Check this out.
Is it truth or is it fiction?

OTTAWA – CBC is doing a really good job of serving the public, according to the CBC.
The public broadcaster commissioned an online survey of 527 opinion leaders who overwhelmingly hold positive opinions of the CBC.
“I have no idea how I ended up on the list,” said one participant who asked not to be identified.
A spokesman for CBC tells QMI Agency that 1,973 CBC stakeholders including governments, academics and other media outlets, were invited to participate from lists drawn up internally.
Asked for their overall views on CBC, 80% said they hold positive impressions. These impressions included agreeing with statements such as “CBC provides value for money to Canadian taxpayers” and “CBC creates programming that is relevant to me.”
A spokesman says the purpose of the survey is to help guide strategic planning for the future of the organization.
The official refused to release the cost of the survey claiming it to be “commercially sensitive.”

The gloves are off comrades. A skulk of foxes has filled the vacuum left by Fake Ouimet and our mission is to pester and harass the bosses.

The irony of course was that our lovely friend and seductress Alphonse Ouimet was once a boss. Maybe she’s still a boss. I never ask. She and I met in the grrrls room two years ago or so, and I was certainly not the first to meet her face to face. Perhaps that’s why she stopped writing so much. Too many people in the loop.

So Joe took over, and he gave it a good effort, you may recall I was one of the first to cheer him on. However it wasn’t too fair for Joe to go it alone, it’s not like Ouimet didn’t have a secret group of us trusted ladies to back her up.

Power abhors a vacuum, and this stage can evoke and wield quite a bit of power, especially when raising a militia of pissed off public broadcasting employees and supporters. So that’s where we come in, that Kronstadt mob of bitchy sailors that Slashdot popularized as Anonymous Cowards.

Although we’re not cowards, just anonymous. In fact we’re gonna raise the stakes. Step up this battle. Engage in some distasteful tactics, and just get nasty. You thought it was bad before? Wait till you get a load of this Queen Bitch.

Though I’m just one to say it like it is, there are others here who employ other tones and perhaps more respectful language than I would use. So by all means, if a pseudonym is not enough for you, we’ve hacked this blog and are allowing Anonymous to strut her stuff. If you want to post something under that name, send in an email to Ouimet, as we see what she sees thanks to her poor use of passwords.

Certainly Ouimet had her time, and don’t get me wrong, she’s still hanging out, sipping Cristal, and sharing her thoughts when she feels like it. This is not about her though, this is about us, so it’s time to step up and say what needs to be said, by any means necessary.

Just don’t use your work computer. Soon even reading this site at work will get you in trouble, so best to get your counter-intelligence instincts up to speed. Although don’t let that stop you from writing and sharing your thoughts via this site. That’s why it’s here.
