Bring me the head of Theresa Lalonde

New media douche gets the Lalonde treatment on her blog:

“He’s dedicated to using his photography and his ability to connect with so many people in the most modern of ways to put positive thoughts in motion.”

I’m wondering where she studied journalism? She can hardly stumble through a throwaway blog post that is the totality of her job as a Social Media Reporter.

Krug has been taking photos of the oil spill from a motherfucking helicopter. Basically, you put anyone with a camera into a motherfucking helicopter and according to Theresa Lalonde you’re putting positive thoughts in motion.

What is it with Vancouver, anyway? Don’t they have anything interesting to talk about there?

Theresa wraps this post up with a positive message. I think.

Krug’s been sending these pictures from the Gulf on his Twitter account. They’ve been retweeted many many times. And now I’m seeing local bloggers write about what they’ve seen and take up the call to action in ways they can locally.

Retweeted, you say? Well, they must be good then! The retweet is reserved only for photos of the highest caibre.

Anyway, you wouldn’t happen to have any of those local blog posts handy, would you? Just curious, this being a blog and all. Maybe you could link to them?

And go and look at despised LaLonde’s desk in the Vancouver ‘Hub’ corral right by the exit door.
From the books and bumper stickers, she has no idea what she is doing.

All her stories obligated to broadcast locally in Vancouver on radio are non-sequitors. Huh? Whu? Who is this dunce are common reactions.

    Poll time.
How many social media reporters\producers does the CBC currently employ?
    1) Lalonde.
    2) Jennifer “CrossPlatform” Hollett has to number in this select group.
    3) Kim Fox, apparently the Rachel Nixon of social media for cbc.ca (broadcast, too?)
    4) Do we count the poor fuckers who have to do TV stand-ups whilst reading twitter and cbc.ca comments as social media reporters?

Finally! Local bloggers are on the case and they’re taking up the call to action! Problem solved!
